- Usage patterns such as button clicks, pages viewed, etc. are collected and stored securely in Firebase.
Shared Content
- Dashboards and Charts: Any dashboards, charts, or visualizations you create and share within your organization are stored securely in Firebase. Local dashboards that are not shared remain on your machine and are not uploaded to Firebase.
How We Collect Data
User-Provided Data
- Account Creation and Login: We collect data when you create an account or log in to the Chatterlytics app using Firebase authentication.
- Database Configuration: Information related to your database connections is configured within your server environment, and this data is stored locally. A reference to database names is stored in Firebase. This helps the end users to know which databases are available to connect to.
Automatically Collected Data
- App Usage: While usage data such as query history is collected to improve your experience, it remains entirely within your server environment and is not transmitted to our servers or Firebase.
Firebase Integration
- Authentication and Storage: Firebase is used for user authentication and storing shared content like dashboards and charts. Only content that you choose to share is uploaded to Firebase.
Why We Collect Data
- To Provide Services: We collect data to enable you to securely connect to your databases, generate visualizations, and share insights within your organization.
- To Improve Our Services: Usage data helps us understand how you interact with Chatterlytics, allowing us to improve features and user experience. This data is processed within your environment except for telemetric data or any data that you may choose to upload to Firebase like user feedback and shared dashboards.
- To Secure Your Data: We collect authentication data to ensure that only authorized users can access your dashboards and data.
Data Safety and Protection
- Data Security: Chatterlytics runs entirely within your environment, ensuring that your data never leaves your premises except when securely transferred to the frontend app. All data transfers are encrypted, and access is controlled using Firebase authentication.
- Local Data: Database configurations, query history, and usage patterns remain within your server environment and are not transmitted outside.
- Storage of Shared Content: Dashboards and charts shared within your organization are securely stored in Firebase, with access restricted to authorized users only. Local dashboards that are not shared remain on your machine.
